" From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman" is a light novel written by Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima, a classic fantasy about an overpowered swordsman who unknowingly dominates the world. The story follows Beryl Gardenant, who runs a small swordsmanship dojo in a rural village, when his former student, Allusia, who has risen to become the commander of the Royal Knights at a young age, visits him and is asked to go to the capital as a special instructor for the Knights. The series has sold over 9 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired on TV Asahi's anime block "IMAnimation" from April to June 2025.
