The manga "Sensou Kyoshitsu," currently serialized in "Jump SQ." (Shueisha), will be adapted into a TV anime series, scheduled to air in 2027. Shinya Watada will direct, with Michihiro Tsuchiya handling series composition, Michinori Chiba designing the characters, and Hitomi Koto composing the music. The anime will be produced by CA Soa, an animation studio headed by anime producer Masakazu Ogawa, with CG production handled by Shirogumi.
"Sensou Kyoshitsu" is a military fantasy series written by Sora Mozuku and illustrated by Tomori Higoro. Luca, a young bugler who can see sounds, belongs to a mercenary group but hates war and dreams of becoming a musician. One day, he awakens a power called "branch possession," and grows through his encounters with his companions. Thirteen volumes of the manga have been released. It has been announced that the series will be moving to "Jump SQ.RISE," a special issue of "Jump SQ."
