In the 13th episode of the NHK nighttime drama "Radio Star" (NHK General TV), starring actress Momoko Fukuchi, airing on April 20th at 11 PM, the show invites artisans of Wajima lacquerware and Suzu pottery to the studio to hear about their dedication to their craft. Kanade (Fukuchi) is moved to tears by what she hears.
"Radio Star" is a nonstop entertainment drama set in Noto, depicting how an ordinary citizen becomes a star. The theme song is "A Boat Full of Happiness," written and composed by Yumi Matsutoya and sung by MISIA.
In the 13th episode, Rikuto (Shoma Kai), who has joined Radio Star, immediately comes up with a plan called the "Japonism Championship." He invites artisans of Wajima lacquerware and Suzu ware, traditional crafts from Oku-Noto, to the studio to hear about their dedication to their craft. Kanade is moved to tears by the artisans' perspectives on life.
Kanade begins to tell Rikuto that when she lived in the city, she always felt like she was being chased by something. Kanade wishes she could stay in this place a little longer.
