It has been announced that the light novel "The Witch and the Hound" from Gagaga Bunko (Shogakukan) will be adapted into a TV anime. Takanori Tsujimoto, known for the "Ultraman" series and the anime "Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-", will direct, with Jun Tsugita and the original author, Kamitsuki Rainy, handling the series composition. TriF Studio will produce the anime. A teaser PV has been released, featuring action scenes of Teresa Lisa, the "Mirror Witch" who graces the cover of the first volume of the original novel, and the protagonist, Rolo.
"The Witch and the Hound" is a light novel written by Kamitsuki Rainy and illustrated by LAM. Bud, the lord of the small country of Campus Fellow, is threatened by the Kingdom of Amelia, which monopolizes magicians and expands its territory with supernatural powers. He decides to gather the wicked witches scattered across the continent to fight back. Rolo, who has been trained in all sorts of killing techniques and is known as the "Black Dog," is ordered by his master to gather the witches.
