The third episode of the TV anime "MAO," based on the latest work by Rumiko Takahashi , known for manga such as " Urusei Yatsura ," "Ranma 1/2," and "Inuyasha," titled "The Cursed One," will air on NHK General on April 18th at 11:45 PM.
Nanaka, who doesn't die even when touched by Mao's sword, the Sword of the Destroyer Star, may have been cursed after being exposed to the blood of a cat demon when she was a child. Nanaka returns to the modern Reiwa era and begins investigating the accident that happened to her eight years ago.
The original manga has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) since May 2019. Set in the Taisho era, it's a dark fantasy x time-slip mystery about Mao, an onmyoji (exorcist) who has lived for 900 years, who meets Kiyoha Nanaka, a girl who has wandered in from the Reiwa era, and together they confront a chain of curses. The anime is directed by Teruo Sato and produced by Sunrise. It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
