Masayoshi Sato, author of manga such as "Momiji no Kiseki," has launched a new series titled "Natsu to Mushikago" (Summer and Firefly Cage) in the April 13th issue (No. 20) of "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha). This marks the "return" of Sato's one-shot story "Tonde Hi ni Iru Natsu to Hotaru" (Summer and Fireflies Flying into the Fire), which was published in the magazine's 2024 issue (No. 26).
The manga graced the cover and opening color pages of the issue, and was introduced with the words, "Many youths begin to shine now—A new high school basketball series by Masayoshi Sato, author of 'Momiji no Kiseki'!!"
In April, Weekly Shonen Jump will feature the start of three new series in consecutive issues. Issue 19, released on April 6, will feature the start of Mitsushi Nakamura's "Roku's Strange House," and Issue 20, released on April 13, will feature the start of Sato Sho's "Summer and Firefly Cage." Issue 21, released on April 20, will feature the start of "2nd Year B Class: Hero Destroyers" by Hideaki Sorachi, known for the popular manga "Gintama."
