NHK's program "Comedy x Documentary: The Laughing Company Revolution" (NHK General), which turns common occurrences in companies in the Reiwa era into "comedy skits" and introduces the efforts to find solutions in a "documentary" format, will air its first episode of the revived series on April 7th at 11 PM.
The program uses skits and documentaries to explore fun ways to solve common company problems. The first episode is titled "Going Global is Tough," and will cover how to work well with foreigners. It will feature Katsuhisa Namase, Jun Soejima, and Wataru Omura.
The product development department, led by Manager Saito (Namase), who created the hit "Rainbow Yakisoba," welcomes Mike (Soejima), a promising newcomer from America. Their goal: a global hit! However, the "language barrier" sends the yakisoba development in an unexpected direction... How can a company that is becoming increasingly globalized be managed successfully?
The program will also feature interviews and showcase the secret strategies employed by a major flea market service company with foreign employees from 55 countries, as well as heartwarming initiatives implemented by a parts manufacturer that employs many technical trainees.
