The third part of Minami Katsuhisa's popular manga "The Fable," titled "The Fable: The Third Secret," appeared in full color at the beginning of the 19th issue of the serialization magazine "Young Magazine" (Kodansha), released on April 6th. "The Fable" is also generating buzz because a second season of the TV anime is in production.
"The Fable" began serialization in the magazine in November 2014. The story follows Fable, a genius hitman feared in the underworld, who is given an order by his boss to "take a year off from being a hitman and live a normal life as an ordinary person in Osaka," and begins living a normal life under the alias Akira Sato.
Part 1 was serialized from November 2014 to November 2019, Part 2 from July 2021 to July 2023, and Part 3 has been serialized since March 2025. It was adapted into a live-action film starring Junichi Okada, and the first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2024. The cumulative circulation of the comics exceeds 30 million copies.
