Kohei Shoji to appear in the April drama "The Cheated Husband with 3 Months to Live".

It has been announced that actor Kohei Shoji will appear in "The Cheated Husband with 3 Months to Live," which will start airing on TV Asahi's "Friday Night Drama" slot (Fridays at 11:15 PM) on April 24th. He will play Kazuki Iwasaki, a junior colleague who looks up to the protagonist, Aoi Kosaka (played by Jin Shirasu).

The drama is an adaptation of a vertical-scrolling manga by Webtoon studio "SORAJIMA," which has surpassed 100 million views in Japan. It is a revenge love suspense story in which Aoi, who has been diagnosed with a malignant tumor and given a limited time to live, discovers his wife Mizuki's (Hinako Sakurai) infidelity and goes on a quest for revenge to protect the future of his beloved son.

Shoji plays Iwasaki, a junior colleague of Aoi's in the urban design department of the major general contractor "Teio Construction." Although deeply shocked when Aoi tells him about her illness, he decides to support Aoi as she continues to work while battling the disease. Meanwhile, he also learns about Aoi's wife Mizuki's infidelity. He is a reliable presence who supports Aoi both professionally and personally when she is feeling down.

Shoji commented, "This time, I will be appearing in a rather dark and twisted story, but I am very happy to be able to play a refreshing role, supporting from the outside with the feeling of 'I want to do something to help.' I definitely want to do something to help Aoi, played by Shirasu (laughs)."
