The synopsis and still images for episode 8 of the drama series "PUNCH-DRUNK WOMAN - XX Days Until Escape -" (NTV, Sundays at 10:30 PM), starring actress Ryoko Shinohara, have been released. The episode will air on March 15th.
"I'll help you get away." -- Kozue Fuyuki (Shinohara), a prison guard at Hikawa Detention Center, resolves to help Reiji Kusaka (Jessie), an inmate who has been framed for a crime he did not commit and caught up in an organized conspiracy, escape outside the prison walls.
Meanwhile, Kozue decides to run for the position of next director in order to gain the director's authority. She ends up competing against Koyanagi (Takeshi Ukaji) for the directorship.
Meanwhile, the police decide to close the investigation after Reiji pleaded guilty in court. Detective Saeki (Naoto Fujiki), unconvinced, begins to notice a change in Kozue...
The drama is an original story inspired by a true story from overseas in which a female prison guard helped a male inmate escape and ran away with him. The script is written by Yoshihiro Izumi, known for works such as "The Laughing Matryoshka," and directed by Tsuyoshi Nakakuki, known for works such as "The Unerasable 'Me'" and "Secret Mitsuko-san," and Seiichi Nagumo, known for works such as "The Wicked Woman" and "The Reluctant Preacher?"
