The fifth installment of the "Blue Visuals," newly drawn visuals for the second season of the TV anime " Blue Box ," based on the popular manga by Kouji Miura serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), has been released, completing the set of five visuals. Illustrator Rei Kato drew these visuals, primarily in blue, based on the theme of "scenes that moved Chinatsu's heart."
The first release featured a beautiful snow-covered landscape, while the second showcased a gymnasium bathed in soft sunlight and a Christmas tree, hinting at the dramatic developments of the second season. Subsequent releases encapsulated memories from the first season, with the third showing a refreshing breeze blowing through the open window of Chinatsu's room, and the fourth depicting a peaceful seaside scene celebrating Chinatsu's birthday. The fifth release, inspired by the aquarium Chinatsu visited with Daiki, features a visual enveloped in a translucent blue. Each image is accompanied by an impressive tagline that captures Chinatsu's emotional journey.
A stage event for the series will be held at the WHITE STAGE of "AnimeJapan 2026" at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo) on March 28th at 10:15 AM. Shoya Chiba(voice of Oki), Reina Ueda(voice of Chinatsu), and Akari Kito of Hina) will appear on stage, and new information about the TV anime will be announced.
"Blue Box" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in April 2021. It is a coming Taiki Inomata love story set in Eimei High School, a prestigious junior and senior high school known for its strong sports programs, where Daiki Inomata, a member of the boys' badminton club, falls in love with Chinatsu Kano, a senior member of the girls' basketball club. The manga has been released up to volume 24, with a cumulative circulation of over 9.6 million copies.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2024 to March 2025. The second season will air on the TBS network in the fall of 2026.
