The lineup for Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi, Monday-Friday 1pm), which will air from March 16th to 20th, has been announced. On the 16th, the comedy duo "Time Machine 3-go" will be the guest; on the 17th, saxophonist Sadao Watanabe; on the 18th, Shunsuke Michieda from the popular group " Naniwa Danshi "; on the 19th, Kabuki actor Ukon Onoe; and on the 20th, talent Akiko Hokuto and her eldest son, Kennosuke Sasaki.
Time Machine 3-go is a veteran comedy duo celebrating their 26th anniversary this year, but they only really broke through about two years ago. Mr. Watanabe has been performing for 75 years since his debut. Even at 93 years old, he continues to perform throughout Japan. After the war, jazz was introduced from the United States, and he was instantly captivated by it, leading him into the world of music. In addition to performing many of his favorite songs, he will also perform a song dedicated to his wife, who passed away 16 years ago.
Michieda said that although she joined the agency, she had no prior dance experience, so it was difficult for her to keep up. Her family's support has been a great help, and her father in particular watches and supports all of her activities. She says that the two dogs at her parents' house are a source of comfort for her.
Ukon is grateful that he is able to do what he wants to do thanks to the support of those around him. He decided he wanted to do that, to become a Kabuki actor, after seeing his great-grandfather's film when he was three years old, but he says he felt burnt out once after performing the play he had dreamed of for about 30 years.
Kennosuke, who appeared with his mother, Hokuto Akira, has lived in Canada for about nine years and showed off his excellent English. He married a female professional wrestler, like his mother, four years ago, and their only daughter is now two years old and at a very cute age. He also talked about the difficulties he faced because his parents were celebrities.
