Saxophonist Sadao Watanabe will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), airing on March 17th at 1 PM.
The jazz legend, who debuted 75 years ago, is now 93 years old. He continues to perform actively. His father was a biwa player, and music was always present in his home, but during the war, there was a period when he grew to dislike music because it was all military songs. However, after the war, he was instantly captivated by jazz, which was introduced from the United States, and entered the world of music.
In addition to many of those memorable songs, he will also perform live a song dedicated to his wife, who passed away 16 years ago.
