The final episode special, "Demon in the Darkness," of the popular detective drama "Aibou Season 24" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9 p.m.), starring Yutaka Mizutani and Yasufumi Terawaki, will be broadcast on March 11th with an extended 10-minute run. Guest appearances will include Ken Ishiguro, Keisuke Horibe, and Dai Watanabe.
There were rumors within the Metropolitan Police Department that "the new Commissioner General had been selected," and Kanae Kyoji (played by Horibe), Director General of the National Police Agency's Security Bureau, was seen as the favorite.
A series of burglaries occur simultaneously in an upscale residential area. The police suspect that they are the work of a gang of young thieves under the orders of a criminal organization.
Ukyo (Mizutani) notices that despite the crimes being well planned, only one house was attempted, and begins his own investigation with Kaoru (Terawaki). The owner of the house in question is Iwahashi Kenya (Ishiguro), Ukyo's former partner who had been with the Special Missions Unit for about six months.
Upon hearing the details, it turns out that the detective agency run by Iwahashi had also been burgled. Iwahashi pretends not to know anything about it, but later that same day, he contacts Ukyo and says that there is a deep connection to the humiliating incident 27 years ago.
A man named Baba Tatsuhiro (Watanabe), who received instructions from the Prime Minister's secretary, is secretly investigating Iwahashi...
What is the intention of the former partner who revealed to Ukyo the humiliation of 27 years ago? Intentions intersect amidst the fierce power struggle. The turmoil eventually leads to a very unexpected conclusion. The screenplay is by Yasuhiro Koshimizu and the director is Hajime Hashimoto.
