It has been announced that the TV anime "Goddess: What Do You Want to Be in Another World? Me: As the Hero's Rib," based on Yasuyasu's popular light novel, published on the novel submission site "Shosetsuka ni Naro," will begin airing on Nippon TV, BS Nippon TV, and AT-X from April 7th. The story is set in a world where you can freely choose where you'll be reincarnated, and follows the thrilling story of the protagonist "I," who repeatedly experiences bizarre reincarnations in other worlds, including as "the rib of a cheating hero with a harem and happy ending," a hermit crab, and a vegetable. A "chaotic" promotional video for the show, which mixes anime footage with live-action footage and puppetry, has been released on YouTube. The promotional video also features illustrations by Kukkie! of the comedy duo Yasei Bakudan and visuals by Ogata Takahiro of the comedy trio Panther.
The key visuals were also released, depicting a friendly, smiling "I," an expressionless "Goddess," and backgrounds evocative of various reincarnations. It was also announced that the band project "shallm" will be in charge of the ending theme "What's that?". The band "Shukatsu Club" will be in charge of the opening theme "Tensei Ganbou."
The anime will be directed by Yasufumi Soejima and produced by Qzil.la and SoK. Voice actors include Atsushi Abe as the protagonist "I," M.A.O as the Goddess, Daisuke Namikawa as Master Sockeye Salmon, Toshihiko Seki as Mr. Tanaka, and Show Hayami as the Creator God.
