The award ceremony for the 13th Japan Uniform Awards, a contest sponsored by uniform brand CONOMi to determine the man and woman who look best in uniform in Japan, was held in Tokyo on February 22nd, and the grand prize winners from among the approximately 3,000 applicants were Kurazawa Shun, a second-year high school student from Ibaraki Prefecture, and Sawa, a second-year high school student from Saitama Prefecture.
The two appeared at the awards ceremony in school uniforms. Sawa expressed her joy, saying, "I was able to walk down the runway with confidence, feeling like I was the grand prize winner! It was fun to see the smiles and reactions from the audience." When asked about his future goals, Kurazawa enthusiastically said, "I want to become an actor who can win an Academy Award."
The two will be CONOMi's image models for 2026, and will work for one year as models for the catalog, which will be distributed nationwide in approximately 200,000 copies, and the official shop.
The Japan Uniform Awards has been held since 2014, and has produced such winners as Yano Yuka (1st recipient), who played Shiro Ninja in the Super Sentai series Shuriken Sentai Ninninger, Marsh Aya, a model who worked as a Caster on ZIP! (2nd recipient), and Nakamura Renno, who joined the idol group Nogizaka46(3rd recipient).
This year's runners-up were Shibano Kotaro, a second-year high school student from Fukushima Prefecture, and Mizuno Karen, a second-year high school student from Tokyo.
