The synopsis and stills from episode 8 of the Fuji TV Monday 9pm drama "Yandoku!" starring Kanna Hashimoto, which will be broadcast on March 2nd, have been released.
Koonami (Hashimoto) unilaterally performs surgery on Shiozawa Natsumi (Hamada Mari), and then verbally abuses Takayama (Otani Ryohei) who criticizes him for it, leading to him being suspended indefinitely by his department head Nakata (Mukai Osamu).
While killing time at a game center or a snack bar despite being suspended, Reina (Uchida Rio) calls to inform her of her regular checkup the next day. Koonami says, "For the sake of my best friend, I don't care about suspension," and insists that she will be in charge of the checkup.
The next day, Oonami visits the hospital as if nothing had happened, but is dragged outside and Otomo (Takuma Otoo) comes to examine Reina. Reina is relieved to find that there has been no recurrence of the craniopharyngioma she suffered from two years ago. But then Oonami sneaks in disguised as a nurse, but is immediately discovered...
After their checkup, Reina and Koonami hold their annual celebration of the birthday of their late best friend, Mari (Taira Yuna). Reminiscing about how they became best friends through a series of unexpected events in their first year of high school, they get excited imagining what kind of work Mari might have done if she were still alive. On the way home, Reina suddenly complains of a headache.
An emergency examination reveals that Reina has an aneurysm in addition to the craniopharyngioma in her brain. However, because of a promise she made to her son, Jotaro (Harakawa Kodai), she requests catheter surgery, which would shorten the hospital stay and speed up the recovery, rather than a craniotomy.
Koonami became a doctor determined to prevent other children from dying like Mari, but she regrets that she was suspended when her best friend collapsed. She apologizes to Nakata and begs him to lift her suspension so that she can perform Reina's surgery, but Nakata refuses to allow it.
Written by Nemoto Nonji, this hilarious medical entertainment follows Hashimoto as Tagami Kotoha, a former delinquent girl who, after her best friend dies in an accident, studies hard to become a neurosurgeon and brings a breath of fresh air to the medical field.
