It has been announced that a special edition of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr Hunt," which was released in theaters as part of the 10th anniversary project for the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans," entitled "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr Hunt - The Trail of the Little Challenger," and a new short film, "The Wedge Between Curtains," will be released on Blu-ray Disc (BD) and DVD in limited quantities on September 25th.
The bonus disc will include a digest of the daytime and evening performances from the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 10th Anniversary Event - Tekka Festival," an event held on February 25th at Tachikawa Stage Garden (Tachikawa, Tokyo), as well as public recording footage of the "Tekkadan Broadcasting Station" which was revived to commemorate the 10th anniversary, stage greeting footage to commemorate the release of the special edited version and new short film, footage from the third screening with talk, and a motion comic with newly recorded voice-overs of "A Story of the Future," an original manga by Ito Yuu, the original character designer for the bonus booklet distributed as a bonus to theatergoers.
The included bonuses include a storyboard collection for "Makukan Kusabi," a newly drawn manga by Ito called "Tekketsubiyori," a short story sheet commemorating the 10th anniversary of "Orphan Chu of 3-Choume," and an ending illustration sheet for "Makukan Kusabi." The storage box will feature newly drawn illustrations by character designer Michinori Chiba and chief mecha animator Hiroshi Arisawa.
"Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" is set approximately 300 years after the end of the great war known as the Calamity War, and depicts the battles of Mikazuki, Augus, and the Tekkadan. The first season aired from October 2015 to March 2016, and the second season aired from October 2016 to April 2017.
A special edition of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr Hunt," entitled "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr Hunt -The Trail of a Little Challenger-," was released in theaters on October 31, 2026. "Urdr Hunt" is an anime distributed on the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" smartphone app, "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans G."
The film being screened at the same time, "Makuai no Kusabi," was directed by Nagasaki Tatsuyuki and written by Okada Mari, just like the TV anime.
