It has been announced that WOWOW's special program "Movie Workshop Movie Exam 2026 SP," hosted by actors Takumi Saito and Yuka Itaya, will be broadcast and streamed on March 26th and 27th. "Movie Workshop" is a film information program in which Saito and Itaya shared how to enjoy movies for 12 and a half years, from October 2011 to March 2024. The program is being revived as a special program after a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, and will be broadcast and streamed in two parts, the first and second parts.
This special program will look back on the film test with studio guests Takeo Matsuzaki, a film critic who led the question creation team for "Movie Test 2026" (running until March 9th), and Ikuo Oshima, who reviews and introduces films and TV dramas on YouTube and in podcasts. MC Saito himself is currently ranked fourth among test-takers for this film test.
The program will feature film-loving comedian Koga Ken taking the "Movie Test 2026," with Matsuzaki providing commentary on the questions. The program will also feature a love-for-movies talk show, where each person will announce their best film from the period since the regular broadcast of "Movie Workshop" ended, as well as anticipated films scheduled for release this year.
The first part of "Movie Workshop Movie Exam 2026 Special" will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW and WOWOW On Demand from 7:30 PM on March 26th, and the second part will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW and WOWOW On Demand from 10:30 PM on the 27th. The show will also be streamed on the "Movie Exam" YouTube channel.
