It has been announced that postcards featuring original illustrations by character designer Tsubasa Yamaguchi will be distributed from February 21st as a second special gift to moviegoers of the animated film "The Keeper of the Camphor Tree," based on the novel by Keigo Higashino. Yamaguchi, who is also known for the manga "Blue Period," has drawn the main character, Reito Naoi, and his aunt, Senshu Yanagisawa, with soft colors and a delicate touch.
"Guardian of the Camphor Tree" is the story of a young man named Naoi Reito who loses his job due to unreasonable dismissal and becomes the mysterious "Guardian of the Camphor Tree," where he meets people with various circumstances.
This is the first time that Higashino's novel has been adapted into an anime, and it will be directed by Tomohiko Ito, known for works such as "Sword Art Online" and "Erased." The voice actors who will appear include Fumiya Takahashi, Yuki Amami, Asuka Saito, Ryuya Miyase, and Takao Osawa.
