Additional cast members for Toei's new special effects series, "PROJECT RED," the first installment, "Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity" (TV Asahi, Sundays at 9:30 AM, starting February 15th) have been announced on the program's official account (@ProjectRED_Toei), revealing that actor Rei Fujita will be providing the voice of Death Gavan.
Speaking of Fujita, he appeared in the special effects drama "Kamen Rider 555 (Faiz)" (2003-04) as Dragon Orphnoch/Kitazaki, and special effects fans were quick to comment with delight, saying things like, "Black Gavan Kitazaki?", "Fujita Rei is back in special effects again!!", "Whoa!? It's Kitazaki!! I'm getting even more excited that Fujita will be appearing as an important character", "The design of Death Gavan's cracked mask on his black body is super cool...and it's great that the voice is Fujita Rei, who played Kitazaki", and "I wonder if he'll not only voice him but also do the pre-transformation part as well (expectations)".
Details about Death Gavan have not been announced, but X introduces him in a black suit with the caption, "Gavan is a symbol of hope, and Death means death. Why is he Gavan? What is his relationship with the Galactic Federation Police?" The suit actor will be Kenya Saito.
