It has been revealed that actor Nakagawa Daisuke will be starring in his first lead role in the TV drama series "Travel, Me and Cats" (TV Tokyo), which will start in March. The drama is about a travel writer who can talk to cats, and Nakagawa commented, "Acting with a wayward cat can be difficult at times, but when you speak to them from your heart, they respond from their heart. There were many moments like that. I hope you will check out the scenes that were captured on camera."
This is an unusual travel drama about travel writer Mamoru Nekogami (played by Nakagawa), who travels around the country with a camera in hand. He uses his mysterious ability to talk to cats to travel around town, interviewing cats from each region about delicious food and famous places. Featuring a variety of unique cats, including a storefront cat napping in front of a store, a stray cat staring out at the world from a back alley, and a rescue cat desperate for affection, Nekogami travels around town, getting travel tips from the cats. Guided by the cats, Nekogami also gently heals the hearts of those he meets on his travels.
The series is directed by Yasukawa Tokuhiro and written by Kawasaki Ryuta and Kishimoto Ayuka. It will be broadcast in four episodes every Thursday from March 5th at 12:30am.
