The Tomon brothers are known as "Doraemon," and the older brother Tomon said, "Even now, I go to the theater every spring to see the new films, and it's become a tradition for me to watch a single shot after the end credits and speculate about where the next scene is set. If I told the me from a year ago, who was watching and talking about "Nobita's Picture World Story" (2025), that I'd be involved in films in this way next year, I don't think he would have believed me as easily as Nobita's grandmother."
His younger brother, Higashi Gen, commented with joy, "Doraemon has been an annual event. In September we watch the moon and the Doraemon birthday special. In December there is Christmas and the Doraemon New Year's Eve special. And in the spring there is the Doraemon movie! I have been appointed as the promotional ambassador for such a movie. I am moved, grateful, and above all surprised. I have seen all of the Doraemon movies. As a fan, I am happy but also sorry that I was able to see the latest one early. I'm sorry everyone!"
In addition to the Azuma brothers, actress Airi Taira and comedy duo Arco & Peace will also serve as promotional ambassadors.
The latest film will be directed by Yajima Tetsuo, who has storyboarded and directed the TV anime "Doraemon," as well as participated in the 2007 release of "Nobita's New Great Adventure into the Underworld: The Seven Magicians," the 2011 release of "Nobita and the New Steel Troops: Winged Angels," and the 2024 release of "Nobita's Earth Symphony."
