"Detective! Night Scoop" (ABC TV, Friday 11:17 PM) is a popular variety show in which "detectives" tackle viewers' unusual requests and worries. On February 6th, Detective Seiya investigated the case of "My daughter's toy got stuck in a 1mm gap!" Entertainer Junji Takada made his first appearance on the show as the special director, along with assistant director Daigo Nagami and secretary Saori Masuda.
The request came from a 32-year-old woman in Hyogo Prefecture. The content was about her 2-year-old daughter Kokona's toy, the "Anpanman Kids Tablet." When the "included sheet" was set on the tablet, it would play music, Anpanman would talk, and Kokona would have fun playing with it every day.
The other day, while I was preparing dinner and took my eyes off her for a moment, Kokona was playing with the "included sheets" by putting them into a 1mm gap between the kitchen and the floor. When I noticed, 7 out of 12 sheets had gotten into the gap. The woman's husband tried desperately and managed to get 5 sheets out, but the remaining 2 sheets were stuck. I was hoping that someone would help rescue the sheets from this 1mm gap.
The husband inserted "bait paper" into the gap to lure out the sheets inside, and managed to retrieve five out of the seven. The bait paper worked until "Unit 2" was torn. Detective Seiya then bundled together several pieces of wire to create "Unit 3," which resembled a bamboo blind, and succeeded in removing one sheet. However, Unit 3 was also on the verge of breaking.
So, I showed the cross-section of the kitchen to the renovation shop that I had previously helped with when I was looking for a high-end razor that had disappeared in the bathroom, and asked for their advice.
