The fifth episode of the drama series "Okome no Onna - National Tax Agency Document Investigation Division, Miscellaneous Affairs Room" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm), starring Nanako Matsushima, will be broadcast on February 5th.
Former politician Takaba Kinnosuke, who continued to wield influence in the political world even after his retirement, has passed away. Masako Yoneda (played by Matsushima), a tax investigator who heads the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau's "Complex National Tax Case Processing Division" (commonly known as Zakkoku), attends his farewell party, where for some reason she is greeted by her father, Taji (played by Terao Akira), who lives in Niigata.
Zakkoku's new investigation subject is Pongi Kanacheru (Kawazu Asuka), a video streamer who lives an ultra-celebrity lifestyle despite only 5,000 subscribers. Their investigation uncovers allegations that she is the lover of Kinnosuke's son, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Takaba Soichiro (Chiba Yudai), as well as her connection to Hakoyama Tetsuro (Asano Kazuyuki), a former Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau employee. Hakoyama is none other than Masako's arch-rival.
