The 88th episode of the NHK morning drama "Bakeke" (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Takaishi Akari, was broadcast on February 4th, and viewers were captivated by the scene in which Sawa (Marui Wan) and Nami (Sato Honami) rush to cheer up the depressed Toki (Takaishi).
After an article about Kajitani (Iwasaki Udai) was published, Toki was mistaken for Heaven's (Tommy Bastow) Rashamen by the people of Matsue. He was met with cold stares from the public, and was injured in the forehead by someone who threw a stone at him. He was also subjected to constant harassment, including having garbage thrown onto his property.
One day, as Heaven (Tommy Bastow) is about to go to work, she hears someone knocking on the door. The Matsuno family braces themselves, but then they hear Sawa's voice from outside the gate saying, "Good morning! It's Sawa! I've come to see Otoki."
When Sawa is invited inside, she sees the trash that has been thrown onto the premises and exclaims angrily, "What is this?", before starting to pick it up. Toki, relieved, yells out, "Oh come on, Sawa!", and they hug each other, then burst into tears.
Afterwards, Toki and Sawa sit on the veranda and enjoy a conversation. Sawa encourages Toki by saying, "You haven't done anything wrong, so if you want to laugh, just laugh. Just live with dignity." Nami then rushes over and seems relieved, saying, "Ah, you're laughing! I came here to cheer you up, but you're doing well." Nami reminisces, saying, "When all three of us are together like this, it feels like we're back in the tenement house," but Sawa retorts, "I'm still living there. It's not a memory." Toki was feeling down, but with the encouragement of the two, her smile returned for the first time in a long time.
