Goddess Cafe Terrace ends its four-and-a-half-year serialization

The romantic comedy manga " Goddess Cafe Terrace " by manga artist Koji Seo , known for works such as " A Town Where You Live" and "Fuuka ," reached its final chapter in the 49th issue of the serialized magazine "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), released on November 5th, bringing the curtain down on its approximately four and a half year run. It has also been announced that Seo's new series will start as early as the 7th issue of 2026 of the same magazine, to be released on January 14th, 2026. It will be a romantic comedy set on a remote island.

The issue also includes comments from the voice actors of the TV anime. Masaaki Mizunaka, who plays Hayato Kasukabe, commented, "Congratulations on the completion of ' The Goddess Cafe Terrace'!! Hayato is at the mercy of the unique and charming heroines, and Hayato is the one who mercilessly manipulates those heroines. As the story progresses, the love, jokes, and retorts in ' The Goddess Cafe Terrace' become increasingly radical and entertaining. I have always loved the romantic comedies that Seo-sensei writes. There was laughter even at the dubbing studio. I will always be proud to have been involved in his work in the anime. Thank you so much for bringing excitement and laughter to so many readers...!! The issue also includes comments from voice actors Ruriko Aoki, Aya Yamane, Asami Seto, Azumi Waki, and Sayumi Suzushiro.

"Goddess Cafe Terrace" began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2021. After hearing the news of the death of his grandmother, with whom he had a falling out, Hayato Kasukabe, a brilliant student who passed the entrance exam to Tokyo University, returns to his family's old cafe terrace in a seaside town for the first time in three years and begins living with five strangers who call themselves "Grandma's Family." The first season of the anime aired from April to June 2023, and the second season aired from July to September 2024.
