"Shumaku no Rondo": "Makoto" Nakamura Yuri confronts her "husband" Kaname Jun, "I felt relieved"

The fourth episode of the drama series "Shumaku no Rondo" (Kantele/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10pm), starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, aired on November 3rd. The scene in which Mikuriya Makoto, played by Yuri Nakamura, gives her opinion to her husband, Toshihito (played by Jun Kaname), the managing director of Mikuriya Holdings, became a hot topic.

Koharu (Jun Fubuki), who collapsed from anemia, was diagnosed by her doctor as being able to leave the hospital in two or three days, but in reality it took longer. The Mikuriya family, upon learning that Koharu had terminal cancer and only three months to live, were concerned that this would coincide with Toshihito's appointment as president, and so they wanted her to stay in the hospital until the end.

Makoto makes up her mind and takes Koharu out of the hospital without the director's permission. Itsuki (Kusanagi), who happens to be passing by, helps out and takes Koharu to his home.

When Toshihito found out about the situation, he showed up at Koharu's house and urged her to return to the hospital. When Toshihito asked, "Was someone instigating you?" Makoto replied, "I was the one who brought her out."

Itsuki, who was there, pleaded that Koharu's feelings were important, but Toshito wouldn't listen, saying, "This is a family matter." In response, Makoto raised her voice and said, "Family? How can you be family if you lock your mother away and make her weak? I can't help it, it's my own choice. But your mother has nothing to do with Mikuriya!" When Toshito left, Koharu and Makoto took a breather, saying, "What a relief."

On social media, the incident became a hot topic, with comments such as, "Your mother has nothing to do with Mikuriya! Well said, Makoto," "It was so refreshing to watch," "If this makes them feel so relieved, they should just get a divorce," "Koharu escapes from the hospital! So cool," and "Koharu's smile as she escaped the hospital looked so happy."

The drama tells the story of Torikai Itsuki, an estate organizer who lost his wife five years ago and has a young son, and who, together with his colleagues at the estate organizer company "Heaven's Messenger," provides support to families with various circumstances.
