Chainsaw Man Reze Arc box office revenue exceeds 7.9 billion yen

It has been announced that the box office revenue of the anime film " Chainsaw Man Chainsaw Man : Reze Arc," based on the popular manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto , has exceeded 7.9 billion yen. It has been a huge hit, attracting an audience of over 5.21 million people. It ranked first in the movie attendance rankings from October 31st to November 2nd (according to the Box Office Information Company). It held the top spot for seven consecutive weeks, and is ranked 91st in the all-time box office revenue rankings.

" Chainsaw Man" is a dark hero action story that follows Denji, a boy possessed by a demon, as he works as a devil hunter. Part 1 was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from December 2018 to December 2020. Part 2 has been serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump +" since July 2022. The total number of copies of the comics published has exceeded 30 million.

The "Reze" arc, which also appeared at the end of the TV anime series that aired from October to December 2022, is the story of Reze and the main character, Denji, who became a hot topic. While Denji is excited about a date with his crush, Makima, he takes shelter from the rain and meets Reze, a young girl who works at a cafe. The film is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, who was the action director for the TV anime, and produced by MAPPA. It was released on September 19th.
