It has been revealed that the TV anime "DIGIMON BEATBREAK," part of the popular "Digimon" series which includes anime and games, and the new theatrical anime film "Expelled from Paradise ," titled "Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart," will be collaborating for the first time.
The collaboration came about because both are anime produced by Toei Animation, and voice actress Ayane Sakura plays Miharu Kagemori in "DIGIMON BEATBREAK" and Gabriel in "Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart."
A collaborative visual featuring Miharu Kagemori, the main character of the "GIFT Arc" of "DIGIMON BEATBREAK," transformed into Gabriel, and a two-shot of Miharu Kagemori and Gabriel drawn by Takahiro Kojima, the character designer of "DIGIMON BEATBREAK," have been released. Postcards featuring the collaborative visual will be distributed in Tokyo and Osaka on July 4th, the day before the final episode of the "GIFT Arc" of "DIGIMON BEATBREAK" airs.
Sakura commented, "I'm Ayane Sakura, and I voice Miharu Kagemori in 'DIGIMON BEATBREAK' and Gabriel in 'Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart'. I was very surprised by this unexpected collaboration! I'm currently working hard on recording both roles, and both characters are challenging to play in different ways. I'm thrilled about this very impressive collaboration between the two. Please enjoy the fleeting encounter between these two characters who live in different worlds."
"Expelled from Paradise" is an original anime set in a world where most of humanity lives in the cyber world of Diva, and follows investigator Angela as she tries to uncover the motive behind a mysterious hacking attack. The new film is generating buzz because the original staff, including director Seiji Mizushima , screenwriter Gen Urobuchi, character designer Masashi Saito, and composer NARASAKI, have all reunited. It will be released on November 13th.
"DIGIMON BEATBREAK" is the first new anime in the " Digimon " series in approximately two years, since " Digimon Ghost Game," which aired from October 2021 to March 2023. The story follows the protagonist, Tomorou Tenma, as he becomes involved in extraordinary events after meeting Geckomon. It airs every Sunday at 9:00 AM on Fuji TV and other networks.
