Singer Akina Nakamori will be a guest on the variety show "Golden SixTONES" (Nippon Television Network, Sundays at 9 PM) airing on June 28th. This will be Nakamori's first appearance on a variety show on the network in approximately 20 years. In order to accommodate Nakamori, who has recently become hooked on Korean dramas, the show will leave the studio and conduct its first-ever overseas location shoot.
Nakamori and SixTONES head to Hongdae, one of Seoul's most popular youth districts. The show's signature game, "Size's Dinner in Korea," begins abruptly, where they have to guess whether a petri dish, like those used in science experiments, will fit on the plate used to bake "10-yen bread," a popular Korean sweet.
After that, we went on a food tour of Hongdae's gourmet street. Despite having only 10 minutes to spare, we started taking commemorative photos in a photo booth, buying souvenirs, dancing with street musicians, and so on. Everyone was doing their own thing, which led to an unexpected situation.
Nippon Television's weather character, Sora-jiro, takes on various challenges in "Sora-jiro Challenge in Korea." This time, a section of Hongdae was reserved for a 50-meter dash competition. Sora-jiro's opponent was Pororo, the main character of an anime distributed in 190 countries worldwide and a national character in Korea. While enjoying a bike ride and listening to Nakamori's enigmatic private stories, Size-san makes another appearance. The final game is "Dynamic DESIRE Baseball Player," a collaboration between the show's signature dynamic visual acuity game and Nakamori's famous song "DESIRE -Passion-." The goal is to guess what object falls "upside down" into the middle of a circle. Nakamori, who is not confident in her dynamic visual acuity, keeps giving strange answers, focusing on vegetables. As everyone struggles, a special rule for this episode only, "DESIRE Chance," is activated.
