A global visual has been released for the world of the TV anime "Otome Kaiju Caramelize," which is based on the "romantic comedy x monster" manga by Spica Aoki, currently serialized in "Monthly Comic Alive" (KADOKAWA). The visual depicts the sudden appearance of the giant monster Harugon and the high school boy, Shinta Minami, standing before it.
"Otome Kaiju Caramelize" will be exhibiting at "Anime Expo," which will be held in Los Angeles in July. There will be a peel-off wall where visitors can peel off special stickers using the global visual, and an interactive spot where visitors can try on the tail and horn costume of the main character, Chloe.
"Otome Kaiju Caramelize" is a manga that has been serialized in "Monthly Comic Alive" since 2018. The story follows Kuroe Akaishi, a high school girl suffering from an unexplained illness, who falls in love with Shinta Minami, the most popular boy at school. However, the moment the girl's feelings of love intensify, the giant monster Harugon appears... The manga has sold over 300,000 copies in total.
The anime is directed by Teruyuki Omine and produced by Liden Films. Hikari Chiga will voice Chloe, and the cast also includes Daishi Kajita as Arata Minami, Akira Sekine as Manatsu Yuri, Haruka Shiraishi as Raimu Kono, Kotono Mitsuishi as Rinko Akaishi, Katsuyuki Konishi as Kotaro Hibino, and Eriko Matsui as Jumbo King. It will air on TBS every Thursday at 1:28 AM starting July 2nd. It will also be broadcast on BS11 and AT-X.
