Episode 13, "Cat Demon," of the TV anime "MAO," based on the latest work by Rumiko Takahashi , known for manga such as " Urusei Yatsura ," "Ranma 1/2," and "Inuyasha," will air on NHK General on June 27th at 11:45 PM. Episode 13 will be the final episode of the first season.
Entrusted with a message for Mao from a cat demon that appeared in the Reiwa era, Nanaka heads to the Taisho era. Hyakka and Kamon are visiting Mao's clinic. Kamon reveals that the one running the fraudulent business under the guise of life extension was Shiranui, a water sorcerer.
The original manga has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) since May 2019. Set in the Taisho era, it's a dark fantasy x time-slip mystery about Mao, an onmyoji (exorcist) who has lived for 900 years, who meets Kiyoha Nanaka, a girl who has wandered in from the Reiwa era, and together they confront a chain of curses. The anime is directed by Teruo Sato and produced by Sunrise. It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
