It has been announced that Ikumi Hasegawa will be voicing a character in the TV anime "Killuao," based on the latest work by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, known for the popular manga "Kuroko's Basketball." Hasegawa will play Mai Otohime, a member of the elite Unicorn group at Rokka Academy Middle School.
Mai Otohime is known as the "Mermaid Queen" due to her all-around talent in marine sports and unparalleled knowledge of the sea. She possesses two personalities: a shy little princess and a confident, outgoing princess.
Hasegawa commented, "She's a genius at marine sports. I grew up in a landlocked prefecture and have never done any marine sports, but I wonder if I was called by Otohime that day when I went to see the sea by myself at the beginning of the year...or if I was just tired... And Otohime is a girl who has two forms: 'Little Princess' and 'Gal Princess'. It was so much fun to play two completely different personalities! Please look forward to seeing how Otohime gets involved with Juzo and the others!"
A new visual titled "Everyday Life Visual" has also been released. It captures a lively scene in the home economics club featuring the unique characters, including Ookami Juzo.
"Killuao" is a "re-youth" action comedy that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from April 2023 to September 2025. One day, 39-year-old Ookami Juzo, known as the "legendary hitman," is stung by a mysterious bee and transformed into a 13-year-old. He then attends middle school while taking on various incidents and battling other hitmen. It is currently airing on TV Tokyo.
