The ninth episode of the TBS Sunday drama "GIFT," starring actor Shinichi Tsutsumi, will air on June 7th (Sundays at 9 PM).
In the previous episode, Ryo (Yuki Yamada), who is suspected of having hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, confided in Gotetsu (Tsutsumi) about his illness. He revealed that while he wants to compete in the Japanese Championships, he is also hesitant about whether it's okay to participate when there's a possibility he won't be able to perform at 100%.
Afterward, Wu Tie devised a new team composition that could accommodate Ryo if he were unable to participate. Wu Tie told Ryo, "We're all going to win."
Episode 9... The pairings for the Japan Championships have been decided. The strong teams Shark and Snake are in Pool A, while the Bulls are in Pool B. Ryo, who has confessed to his mother Kimiyo (Yumi Aso) that strenuous exercise could be fatal for him, prepares himself for the match.
The Bulls advanced through the qualifiers and secured their place in the final tournament. Sora (Yuta Tamamori) puts even more effort into composing a song to cheer them on.
Meanwhile, Wu Tie, concerned about Ryo's health, is struggling with whether or not to use him in the final tournament. And Hitoka (Kasumi Arimura) also learns about Ryo's illness for the first time.
The Bulls have made a miraculous comeback, but then something unexpected happens to Ryo...
