Talent MEGUMI appeared on the variety show "Sunday's First-Time Learning" (MBS/TBS) which aired on May 24th, and introduced a diet method that she herself practices.
The theme of the day was "A Passionate Lesson on Life-Changing Diet & Beauty Techniques." MEGUMI, who is also immensely popular as a beauty expert, lectured on the diet and beauty methods she has arrived at after trying more than 1000 beauty methods over the past 10 years.
MEGUMI, who has incorporated the knowledge of professionals she has met, such as doctors, trainers, and therapists, and has practiced dieting "like a human experiment," successfully lost 4 kilograms in 4 months. MEGUMI said that "intense exercise is not necessary" and emphasized that what is needed is "to incorporate a lifestyle mechanism into your life that makes you lose weight just by living."
MEGUMI said, "The biggest enemy of dieting is blood sugar. When you eat, your blood sugar levels spike, and that heat turns into fat, so you have to be conscious of how to keep your blood sugar levels from rising." As a way to suppress the rise in blood sugar after eating, she explained, "If you move around a little after eating, it will help suppress the rise in blood sugar. For example, do 10 squats right after you eat, or take a short walk. Just move around after you eat."
The program also featured a doctor's opinion that light exercise after meals may reduce the rise in blood sugar levels by 10-30%.
