A new story visual has been released for the TV anime "Atelier of Witch Hat," based on the manga by Kamome Shirahama. In episode 7, Easheath, the vice-captain of the Magic Police, an organization of "wizards who protect magic," makes an appearance. He deems Coco a "minion of the wide-brimmed hat" who used forbidden magic and shows no mercy by trying to erase her memory without question, putting Coco and her friends in grave danger. The visual is full of tension as the strict Easheath, who makes no exceptions for violations of the rules, stares straight at the viewer.
"Atelier of Witch Hat" tells the story of Coco, a girl who longs to be a wizard, as she steps into the mysterious world of magic. The series began serialization in "Monthly Morning Two" (Kodansha) in 2016, and has sold over 7.5 million copies. It has been selected for manga awards in France, Spain, South Korea, and other countries, and in 2020 won the Eisner Award for Best Asian Work, attracting attention from around the world.
The TV anime is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other channels.
