Yuka Sugai, a former member of the idol group "Sakurazaka46" and now an actress, successfully predicted the winner of the G1 horse race "Victoria Mile" held at Tokyo Racecourse (Fuchu City, Tokyo) on May 17th.
The race was won by the favorite, the two-time Classic-winning filly Embroidery, with the second favorite Kamnyak in second place and the third favorite Queenswalk in third, in the order of the favorites.
In the horse racing program "Keiba BEAT" (Kansai TV), where she serves as MC, Sugai picked Embroidery as her top choice. Her trifecta formation included Embroidery in the first row, four horses including Queenswalk in the second row, and all possible combinations in the third row, for a total of 58 possible combinations.
Although she made an impressive prediction, the result was a very predictable one with only popular horses, so Sugai confessed with a blush that she ended up with a net loss, saying, "I lost a lot of money..." MC Kawashima Takeo reassured her, saying, "It's important to make accurate predictions."
