The fifth episode of the drama series "Reborn ~The Last Hero~" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9 PM), starring actor Issei Takahashi, aired on May 12th, and it has been revealed that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region) was 4.7% for households and 2.5% for individuals.
The drama tells the story of a man who is reborn as a different person and given a second chance at life. Takahashi plays two roles: Mitsunori Neo, an IT company president who has achieved great wealth and fame and is called a "charisma of the times," and Hideto Nomoto, the heir to a dry cleaning business. Other cast members in the drama include Anne Nakamura, Ouji Suzuka, Mayu Yokota, Fumiyo Kohinata, and Masachika Ichimura.
In episode 5, Mitsumasa Neo (Takahashi), who has been reincarnated as Hideto Nomoto, is appointed chairman of the Akari Shopping Street Spring Festival organizing committee, but disagreements make things difficult. Meanwhile, Hideto acts as a body double for Mitsumasa Neo, who is away on a business trip abroad, to negotiate for land for NEOXIS's company building. He believes that his "14 years' worth of memories" will lead to a successful negotiation, but the other party makes statements that contradict his memories. Has history changed once again? On the other hand, Sarasa Iketani (Anne Nakamura), who suspects Hideto of cheating, follows him... and so the story unfolds.
