NHK's popular variety show "Bura Tamori" (NHK General), in which entertainer Tamori visits various towns, will air an episode titled "Tokyo, Seijo: How did this desirable residential area come to be? Unveiling its surprising beginnings!" on Getsuku at 7:30 p.m. The setting is Seijo in Tokyo. Known as an upscale residential area, it was actually created from scratch by the combined efforts of the school and parents, a fact that even Tamori finds astonishing.
Seijo, a cutting-edge town that suddenly sprang up on what was once a wooded area, is the epitome of aspiration. We delve into the secrets of Seijo, a town born from an ideal for children.
What can we learn about "parental power" from a single receipt remaining at Seijo Gakuen...? In search of clues to urban development, we head to the vast school grounds. Tamori discovers evidence of the efforts made to transform a marshy area into a schoolyard in the residential neighborhood...
Tamori's travel partner will be NHK Hiroshima announcer Mana Sato, and singer-songwriter Aimyon will provide the narration.
