72-year-old singer Sachiko Kobayashi will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), airing at 1 PM on May 6th. She will appear in a flamboyant outfit befitting her title as the "final boss of the Japanese music world."
The book looks back on the difficult times when she debuted at the age of 10 and became responsible for supporting her family at the age of 15, the trial and error of her nearly 15-year struggle without a hit, and the turbulent journey from the massive success of "Omoide Sake," released in 1979, to the present day.
Having worked tirelessly for over 60 years, she took her first-ever month-long vacation in January of this year. While she once considered resting a sin, during her vacation she spent her time visiting art museums without worrying about the clock and relaxing at home with her beloved cats. During her long break, she also reflected on her career as a singer. She expressed her gratitude once again to those who have supported her and to herself.
