TV Tokyo's popular information variety show, "Shutsugen! Ad Machikku Tengoku" (Saturdays at 9 PM), will feature "Delicious Zushi and Hayama: Places to Visit on a Drive" in its May 2nd broadcast.
Zushi and Hayama in Kanagawa Prefecture are about a 90-minute drive from central Tokyo. During Holden Week (Golden Week), the program will feature a drive along the coast, highlighting the seasonal bounty of Sagami Bay and local cuisine. The program will showcase a walk through Hayama hosted by a famous cinnamon roll shop; a renowned handmade soba restaurant run by a soba master; a fermented food cafe opened by former Japan national rugby player Toshiro Hirose; and a fresh whitebait rice bowl at a fisherman-run restaurant in the fishing port...
Furthermore, the program will feature other fascinating topics, including an extremely rare delicacy: a top-quality "Hayama beef" steak; the edges of a Zabaro roll; the world's smallest chocolate factory!?; a fish restaurant run by a brother and sister with delicious desserts; and a stay in a nationally registered tangible cultural property with a chef on board.
