The 24th episode of the NHK morning drama series " Kaze,Kaoru " (NHK General, Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM, etc.), starring Ai Mikami and Juri Kosaka, aired on April 30th, and viewers were captivated by the exchange between Rin (Asadora ) and Naomi (Uesaka) after they broke curfew.
Rin and Naomi are at odds over the translation work, and a tense atmosphere hangs over them. On their first day off since moving into the dorms, Naomi visits the Oyama house to ask Sutematsu ( Mikako Tabe Tabe) for advice on the translation. When Naomi asks for the meaning of "observe," Sutematsu explains that it means "to watch over something in a nurturing way." Sutematsu apologizes for her poor Japanese and tells Naomi that Rin had come to ask the same question. Then Sutematsu says to Naomi, "It's enviable to have a good partner at work."
Meanwhile, Rin, who is visiting Mizuho-ya with Tamaki (Ema), coincidentally meets Shimaken (Masaya Sano). Rin learns from Shimaken, who is fluent in languages, that the meaning of "observe" is "to observe."
Afterward, Naomi hurries to the dormitory, but it's already too late for curfew. Just then, Rin comes along and asks, "Are you late too, Naomi?" Naomi begins, "I was visiting Mr. Sutematsu's house," and whispers to Rin, "Thank you..." The two girls try to sneak into the dormitory through a gap in the bushes, and they exchange glances and smile. They both say "Um..." at the same time, but are caught by the dormitory supervisor, Matsui (played by Hyunri).
On social media, comments included: "They're slowly becoming buddies," "Rin and Naomi are already recognized as good partners," "The two are growing closer emotionally," "I'm glad they're getting closer," "I'm glad Rin and Naomi seem to be able to reconcile!", "They've already broken curfew. I'm curious about the punishment, but is that also a sign of being good partners?", and "I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next."
