Bandai is releasing "Kakuremaru -MEMORIAL EDITION-," a toy from the Super Sentai series "Ninja Sentai Kakuranger." This adult-oriented role-playing toy is based on the ninja sword Kakuremaru and features sound, light, and action gimmicks in a "memorial edition." It will cost 27,500 yen.
The toy is approximately 70 centimeters long and faithfully reproduces the blade, guard, and grip. In addition to a vibration gimmick, the lettering on the blade features an LED light-up gimmick. When a special attack is activated, a sound plays and the blade lights up. The toy also includes the catchphrases of the five Kakurangers and their lines when performing special attacks.
Pre-orders will be accepted from 4 PM on April 30th at "Premium Bandai," the shopping site of the Bandai Namco Group. Shipping is scheduled for September.
