Professor Nishi is a philosopher, but he originally came from a family of court physicians, so he has a unique and skillful way of translating terms in the fields of science and medicine." When Rin murmured, "Observe...?", Shimaken explained, "It's the 'kan' from Kannon (Goddess of Mercy), and 'sasuru' (to perceive)."
Rin expressed her gratitude, saying, "That was a great help," and added, "I am grateful for Shimaken's kind words. Shimaken's words made me reflect on my own feelings, and my doubts about becoming a nurse disappeared."
Shimaken asked, "Which word are you talking about?" but Rin replied, "Oh, I have to go now, I have a curfew. I'm only allowed to go out once a week, until 7 p.m. on Sundays," and left the shop.
