The third episode of the drama series "Reborn ~The Last Hero~" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9 PM), starring actor Issei Takahashi, aired on April 28th, and it has been revealed that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region) was 5.1% for households and 2.7% for individuals.
The drama tells the story of a man who is reborn as a different person and given a second chance at life. Takahashi plays two roles: Mitsunori Neo, an IT company president who has achieved great wealth and fame and is called a "charisma of the times," and Hideto Nomoto, the heir to a dry cleaning business. Other cast members in the drama include Anne Nakamura, Ouji Suzuka, Mayu Yokota, Fumiyo Kohinata, and Masachika Ichimura.
In episode 3, Mitsunori Neo (Takahashi) begins to accept living as Hideto Nomoto and uses his "14 years' worth of memories" to revive a dilapidated shopping street. With the large sum of money he wins in a bet with Yoshitaka Togo (Masachika Ichimura), he also begins to see a way to repay the debts his father, Eiji Nomoto (Fumiyo Kohinata), has incurred.
It was revealed that Eito himself, before his reincarnation, had proposed to Sarasa Iketani (played by Anne Nakamura). In order to prevent the marriage, Eito guided Sarasa towards pursuing a career in art. The story unfolded with him plotting to help Sarasa gain attention as an artist...
