It has been announced that Aki Irie's manga "Go North-Northwest with Clouds," which was nominated for the "Manga Taisho 2019" award, will be adapted into a TV anime. To commemorate the anime adaptation, a new illustration drawn by Irie has been released. Further details about the anime will be announced in the future.
"Go North-Northwest with Clouds" began serialization in "Haruta" (KADOKAWA) in March 2016 and moved to "Blue Knight" (also KADOKAWA) in 2021. It is a juvenile mystery set in Iceland, depicting the adventures of 17-year-old detective Kei Miyama. The comics have sold over 1.6 million copies in total.
