The first episode of the TV Asahi drama series "The Cheated Husband with 3 Months to Live" (Fridays at 11:15 PM, excluding some regions), starring actor Jin Shirasu, aired on April 24th.
In the first episode, Aoi (Shirasu) is diagnosed with a malignant tumor and given only three months to live. When Mizuki (Sakurai Hinako) learns of Aoi's illness, she tries to encourage her to fight the disease together, but inwardly she can't stop laughing. She is having an affair with Sunayama Kenji (Takahashi Mitsuomi), the president of the company that consults for the cafe where she works, and instead of supporting Aoi, Mizuki begins to conspire with Kenji to take all of Aoi's inheritance.
On the day of Aoi's first chemotherapy treatment, Mizuki says she can't pick up her child as requested, explaining that she suddenly quit her part-time job and now has a night shift. Then, as Aoi's chemotherapy treatment begins, Mizuki is secretly meeting with her lover, Kenji. Later that night, they share a passionate kiss at a stylish bar, completely oblivious to the onlookers... and so the story unfolds.
At that bar, Aoi's junior colleague, Iwasaki Kazuki (Kohei Shoji), witnessed Mizuki's shocking behavior. Iwasaki instinctively filmed the scene on his smartphone, his mouth agape as he captured Mizuki's kissing scene. Just as he was about to make eye contact with Mizuki, he hastily left the bar and sent a message to Aoi saying, "I need to talk to you tomorrow."
