Seki, who plays Williasfim, the Dragon King who lives in the Lord Crown Tree near a spring that may hold the key to breaking Ark's curse, commented, "Immediately after meeting him, I end up fighting Ark by chance, but I guide him to the location of the spring he is looking for. Even though he is the Dragon King, he is not arrogant and is a very kind-hearted character. There are also some heartwarming episodes, so please look forward to it."
Ono, who plays Sasuke, a beastman ninja, said, "I put my heart into playing him so that he could be someone Chiyome looks up to and a beloved older brother figure. Ueda, who plays Tsubone of the beastkin tribe, said, "When I first saw the character design, I got the impression that she was a cool and beautiful older sister...! But when I read the script, that impression changed quite a bit! (laughs) As one of the Six Ninja, she has her own firm answer about life, and I think that's why she's able to live happily in her own way, so I'm trying to keep that in mind while portraying her as an older sister who gets things done when necessary but is also a little mischievous. Suwabe, who plays Thanatos, the mysterious figure who leads the seven cardinals of the Hilk religion, a religious group that persecutes elves and beastmen, commented, "Those of you who have read the original work may already know, but what kind of position does this character play in the story? Akabane will play the role of Parurumo, one of the seven cardinals of the Hilk religion, and Shinomiya will play the role of Bartod, also one of the seven cardinals.
Tomoya Tabuchi, producer of "DIALOGUE+", said, "Following the first season's ending theme, 'Who Said We Were Foolish?', I'm pleased to be in charge of the ending theme again. This time, I wanted to incorporate the relationship between Sasuke and Chiyome, so rather than the previous song which depicted them quietly getting worked up before going into battle, I created this song with the intention of having the characters sing about the feelings of facing adversity and injustice while thinking of someone important to them, and have them sing it in line with DIALOGUE+. Miracles don't happen, but we still live on. I hope you can feel that strong feeling from the song."
A promotional video featuring new characters and visuals depicting Ark and his allies confronting a new evil have also been released.
The story follows Ark, who wakes up in another world as a skeleton knight, the character he used to play in a massively multiplayer online (MMO) RPG. He tries to enjoy this new world without drawing attention to himself, but he can't ignore the evil he sees and ends up accidentally setting the world right on his feet during his travels. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2022.
The second season will air on TOKYO MX and other channels starting in July.
