The third episode of the TBS Sunday drama "GIFT," starring actor Shinichi Tsutsumi, will air on April 26th (Sundays at 9 PM).
In the previous episode... Gotetsu (Tsutsumi), who had been appointed as the assistant coach of the "Blaze Bulls," told Ryo (Yuki Yamada) to step down from his position as ace. He then brought Keijiro (Kyoya Honda), his new "ace candidate," to the practice field and had him face off against Ryo in a 1-on-1 wheelchair rugby match.
The gap between Keijiro and Ryo only widened, but he desperately tried to keep up. However, Ryo won in the end. Filled with frustration, Keijiro looked Ryo straight in the eye and declared, "I won't lose!" He threw the ball towards Ryo.
In episode 3... Keijiro joins the Bulls. His self-centered behavior puts the team in the worst possible mood. Ryo, rebelling against Gotetsu, declares he's quitting and abandons practice. Scolded by the players, Gotetsu impulsively declares the Bulls are disbanded.
The Bulls will be taking a break from activities for a while. Coach Hino (Michiko Kichise) maintains the rugby car while telling Hitoka (Kanata Hosoda) about the relationship between Ryo and former Bulls players Taniguchi (Kaota Hosoda) and Kunimi (Ken Ken Yasuda).
Around the same time, Ryo goes to see Kunimi and confronts him with the unresolved feelings he's been harboring. Then, at Taniguchi's invitation, he joins the Sharks' practice. There, Gotetsu appears and says he's come to recruit Taniguchi to the Bulls...?
The drama follows Wu Tetsuya, a genius astrophysicist played by Tsutsumi, as he solves difficult problems facing the underdog team "Blaze Bulls" from his unique perspective. It's a story of redemption where the team, friends, and family reconnect.
